w710i or w81oi or k618i??

Hey everyone. I just recently decided that it's time for me to get a new phone, and great timing as well because.. I'm also in need of an mp3 player and a camera, and what better combination than to get a Sony Ericsson phone, right?

Anyways, I'm debating between the w710i, w810i, the k618i, or the k800i, though I doubt I'll get the k800i unless it's so much better than the rest. Anyways, what I'm mainly looking for is a phone that will be a great camera, great music quality, and great video quality if converted to a 3gp file. I'll buy a better camera and a better mp3 player later, but for now, I'm going for simplicity so want all three in one bundle. Can anyone tell me which of the given ones I should consider buying, and reasons as to why? Some of my concerns are:
>I've done studying and realized that hte w710i has flash on the menus, and as small as that is, i love it, and wonder if the other phones have it.
>What kind of headphones I'll need to buy for the matching headphone jack, or if ti has the standard 3.5mm, and also, if adaptors will ruin quality?
>I want it to ring/vibrate simultaneously if at all possible.
>Have great games or can play good games, just for those times I'm bored.
>I know that the w710i does not have autofocus, but I was wondering if the others do, or if it's a big deal if I don't have it?
>Probably MOST important, is multitasking. I'd like to be able to, say, text while listening to music at the same time.
>Any cool camera modes/effects, such as filters, shutter sounds, etc. And if at all possible, the choice to turn shutter sound off.
>Do the phones that are NOT walkman phones still have great mp3 quality, or are they lacking a bit?
>And any extra little things liek hte pedometer, music/video/image DJ, or w/e other software that comes with it that's nice that I'd like.

I don't need an answer or response to everything, but just any help I can get will help me greatly. Once I get my phone I'll gladly answer questions to anyone else who are new and post my own personal review up as well if it helps. Thanks everyone!

Oh, and it'll help even more if I can get a list of pros/cons or comparisons over these phones, whether it's a site or your opinion.

The K800 is an excellent cameraphone, I have one and I am most pleased with it. It has a good range of camera features, with various options to choose from, such as a amcro mode (a link to a revoew of the macro mode is included below). The K800 also features a real xenon flash as opposed to an LED.

As a music player the K800 doesn't have the same features as a Walkman handset, but it is still a capable music player. The headphones that come with the K800 use SE's own connector, and there is no provision for a 3.5mm jack. The headphones are not the little 'bud' earphones that come with Walkman handsets, but rather slightly larger, with the ear ends being covered with foam instead of rubber. They are of a decent enough quality, but not as good as the Walkman headphones.

The K800 supports multitasking in as far as you can listen to music and send a text at the same time or listen to music and access the internet simulatneously. Most SE handsets except for the low-end ones should also support multitasking.

SE handsets can also ring and vibrate at the same time. As far as I am aware there are no SE handsets that don't support this although I could be wrong.

If you live outside of Europe then you might be betetr getting the K790i or the K790a.

Walkman handsets have better music features e.g. the Walkman media player, which has more options than the standard media player used on non-Walkman handsets. However, they tend to lack some of the imaging features of the Cybershot handsets. As mentioned above, Walkman handsets tend to come with better quality earphones.

Here are some reviews of the W810i and a review of the macro mode on the K800i:

thanks alot for the help there. But I don't quite know if I really need a phone that has THAT amazing of a camera really. I'll go buy a camera sooner or later, so I don't need necesarily "top end" camera on my phone, even though your review on is really tempting me to get it

Do the K800, W810, and K618i have flash as well? I know the w7190i has flash as far as the menus go, but not sure about the others. And is there anything special about the K619i that leads the others? I know the k800 is most dominate camera hands down, and it seems that the w710i is just the "fun" phone that comes with a bunch of bazaar other options liek the spedometer, then teh w810i is most rounded off.

I'm afraid I haven't had direct experience of the other handsets so I am perhaps not the best person to be advising you on them. Hopefully people who has used them can comment.

As for the K800, it doesn't support Flash menus.

I'm thinking about sticking w/ the w810i. as far as I know, it easiyl has teh most storage space (considering the memory:$ ratio is GREAT), has flash, and a damn nice 2.0 camera w/ macro and many camera filters. The k800 seems like a bit overkill for me, adn I'm goign ot need the walkman mp3 player cuz I'm an audiophile like that. Then teh w710i is nice and all, but w/o clash or autofocus and other camera options, I'm thinking I'l lstick w/ the w800i. The only thing the w710i has better is less messy screen (flip) and a pedometer, along w/ a2dp which.. i'd never use. Not to mention it's a bit bulkier adn a 2gb M2 card is more costly thna a 4GB pro duo card for the w810. Oh well..

Hi there, 1st time posting, ahha.
Get the w810i if you plan to use edge, if not, W800 is another good alternative. im currently using the w810i right now and its great-lots of options, walkman, multimedia, etc. be warned the that battery does not last long for a walkman phone (i tend to charge my phone every 2 days with moderate walkman use). Also, when you're playing mp3s with the walkman, there will be a audible "hiss" in the background of whatever you play. do a search and you'll find plenty of information on this issue.
if you're planning to get the w810i, try to get it unlocked and flashed with the latest firmware =).

best of luck.
