W300i won't let me use mp3s as ringtones!

Does anyone know how to fix this, my old Z500a could do it no problem, and I'm not even trying to use copyrighted material since I'm trying use a piece of my band's song as the ringtone.
 
Huh. SE usually makes it easy to use audio files as ringtones because ther are several ways to assign them. You might have a defective W300i. Are there any other occurences that seem odd to you while you're using your phone?
 
You can not use non protected MP3's on the Rogers W300 or the newer W810's.

The solution is to use THIS to add DRM to your ringtones.

Note: Only DRM your ringtones not your whole library, as your phone will go very slow if you do.
 
thanks, I actually ran into this file earlier tonight but not sure what to do with it yet, can you maybe give me a few quick tips on what to do with it?
 
Hi all, i'm having this same problem. I downloaded the DRM packager but I don't seem to be using it right or something.

Could someone help me with how to use to program?
