VZW to Cricket monster flashed V3c sms problem

So I flashed my wife's V3c from verizon to cricket so she could use that phone on her service.

I downloaded the humpa cricket monster file and used multi flash flex to flash the file to the phone following the directions I found online.

Phone rebooted and cricket flashed around the screen and I entered her nuraber twice in the #0SETUP* menu and then *228 and activated.


Heres the problem... when I go to send a text/sms I get back an error saying "unable to send"... a few minutes later I get another message saying "Cannot Send: See outbox status."

I go to outbox > select message > Options > Message Status and it says: "Sending Failed. Status 97. Service Not Available"


I know the v3c works with cricket. Cricket said on the phone that its not a supported phone so I don't know whats going on. Any help resolving this issue would be great.

The phone CAN send and recieve MMS and can Recieve SMS but not send SMS.

Not sure if you are in a EVDO area, but I would put the 1x prl back on it and try again. I have had this problem before and changing it back to that prl and hanset programming it seems to work. Usually my issue was with the MMS though. If that doesn't work call and have them refresh your sms. To hanRABet program your phone after you put the 1040 prl on all you have to do is 74663# clear clear (really quick). From there you can put your MDN and MIN in. Hope this helps
 
Okay so I flashed the 1040 prl and then put in the mdn and min in and it then needed to be activated so i *228ed and it loaded the original prl again!
 
If you just recently activated this phone, I would recommend taking it to a corporate cricket store or call Cricket to have them refresh the account information. That will help you be able to send text messages. I am sure that is what it is. I have gotten a few back that I have flashed and figured out that was the problem.

If you figured it out, let the other merabers know what you found out or did to get the problem fixed. That way when a similar problem comes up and people are searching for a solution it is easy found and a whole new thread isn't started on the subject. After all, a few merabers did try to help you out.
 
He took it in to have his account refreshed. I've noticed this problem a lot lately especially with new accounts. Can do everything but send text. Refresh texting and it works right away.
 
hmmm... this problem has been posted a few times alreaday and adequate answers have been provided, but for anyone reading this post, refreshing the account is not enough, you also need to get them to add the right feature code for sms. the account neeRAB to have ZMM on it (if it is a standard $40+ plan with sms and mms included)
