Vzw - Qwerty + sync w/Google Calendar

My friend has a 3+yo basic clamshell phone. She has recently started doing a small amount of texting and hates doing T9. She's seen how I use the calendar on my Touch Pro2 (I sync multiple Google Calendars using OggSync) and really likes the idea of being able to carry her calendar on a PDA vs an appt book in her purse.

Is a PDA/Smartphone the only option for her calendar desire? Or are there any qwerty feature phones that would have the ability to give her access to an electronic calendar (I use Google and she's considering it, but she could also possibly use an Outlook Calendar on her office PC (she's a small business owner))?

She's on Verizon and wants to stay there since all of her family and most of her friends are on Verizon and they all rely on the free M2M.

Any suggestions?

with a data cable, I could sync an lg chocolate w/ outlook. I used BitPim. Nokia phones have a data suite you can purchase. Just google the qwerty phone and sync with calendar or Outlook.
