vx9900 probs

so, i was "testing" a phone, and i changed the esn/meid to one on my account. i changed them back, but the phone is still pretending to be a "cloned" phone. Anyway to fix this properly? I shouldn't have to erase the MDN/MIN with LG Download to fix this should i? I thought the ESN/MEID would keep it from behaving like this.

all because cricket changed their systems :(

yea, its back to the sticker MEID. i hex edited the sys.meid and sys.esn files and when i load LG download it shows the correct esn and meid. very odd.

so i erased the MDN and MIN in the NV edit portion, and it stopped cloning my current phone. Hopefully that fixed it. Not sure why both phones would ring even though my account only has the one ESN assigned to it.

i still have voicemail notification and text notification come through on my 2 old phones sometimes. one is my original cricket phone, a kyocera candid II, the other a motorola v265.

kinda wacky...

Isrian I was wondering if you would be able to help me edit my sys.meid file I have a vx8500 which should be about the same. I edited the sys.esn successfully, but haven

edit the meid the same as the esn file.

A0000003849e94 would be

94e9 8403 0A

the 6 blank 0's don't really show up. what i found was it was XXXX XXXX XXXX 0A showing only A and 1 zero.

if i saw a screen shot of your meid file i could point it out for you.

That was exactly the problem, yes.

I had a Motorola RAZR that was doing the same thing until I edited-out the MDN/MIN settings.

Ok here is a shot of my file...the esn and meid somehow got erased so when I connect the phone and launch lgdl....the esn and meid were all 0's i got the esn showing up again but in the service menu it says "Bad ESN" I assume it is because the meid is still 0's

Thanks for your help man!

Simple3 ,
I did exactly that , somehow errased my esn and Meid with UniCDMA 1.095 I think...could have been LGDL. I am not cloaning I am just in need of help fixing it. Btw it is a Verizon Chocolate
Thanks for any help

simple3 and others,
He isn't talking about ESN CLONE'ING
He should have specified.
He screwed up his MEID and put it as the p(ESN) so it had an esn

I changed his service from that phone to another phone.
After i changed it back to his phone after he repaird hes esn his other phone *DIFFERENT ESN* was still ringing..

Hope this clears things up
