vx9900 bootloader emergency mode

so, i crashed my vx9900 loading firmware. did some super searching and found something called emergency mode.

hold #2 + #5 + power button, and it puts it in the vx9900 downloader mode.

now, i don't know how to get software to load. QPST see's it as a Q/QPC-XXX in download mode. LG Download doesn't even see it. it says, not connecting at 38.4 baud rate.

your still within the (1) yr warranty for the phone, just take into the store, play durab and show them its screwed up,

you can walk out the door with a replacement FRU ( working phone )

Emergency mode is 5 + PWR
Put phone in emergency mode get the bin and dll use lg downloader older verison with emergency mode click emergency download select bin and dll then click start it should pick up phone after that and start flashing it

i started copying files from my new enV to my old enV and after copying the nvm folder over, the old phone goes into constant reboot. VZW banner shows for 30 seconRAB, then the phone reboots. I have to pull the battery. Can't even get into emergency mode

Did you get your phone working. I did exactly what you did. What version of lg download has a working emergency mode?

i'm not sure what version doesn't really. all the ones i've used have emergency mode.

and no i never got the phone working. it kept saying service required even after i flashed it. i think you need ALL the files because it erases ESN and everything associated with it. i replaced the $SYS.ESN file, and the phone wouldn't even power on again.

You need the scr file to get it to work right. I've flashed 2 lg phones before in e-mode a vx5200 and a vx9400 and both of them required the scr after flashing them with the bin and dll. Then rebuild the esn and you're set.

whats the scr file? i went through a good LG and copied every file from the file system incase this ever happened again.

I think its the script. Im not really sure as Im still a noob. I just know this cuz someone on a different forum helped me with the vx5200 and told me I would need the bin, dll and scr before flashing in e-mode and helped me with the process and I tried the same thing on a vx9400 and it worked.

SCR has basically the filesystem off the phone,

If I can get my hanRAB on one, I'll let you know. I recall having some issues with a couple myself. This is cellphonerepair over at mobile-files. I had to use a different name here because my local competition is riding on my coattails at mobile-files. Therefore I'm trying to become more active here, although under a different username.
