Well, i have Flashed the LG Voy to Cricket which can be done as everyone knows but i have also gotten EVDO to work which im getting Crapy speeRAB if like 305k anyhow my question goes back to the BREW there was another post here that stated that it could be change, and i have changed it however i have noticed that i cant get the BREW Test menu so i can get in there and download items. my question is that when i changed the settings did i break the menu cause i dont seem to get that menu at all. and when i go into the Get It Now it just says theres no items.


PS: Yep this phone MP3 player will die if you change the BREW settings so dont change it, i just tried to use my MP3 player and it wont load up anymore. well so much for having a MP3 player on my phone *Sigh*
 
Interesting.

I seem to remeraber having the apps I downloaded from the Brew test menu appear in the Get It Now browser (some games). But that was on the enV.

Thanks for updating us on the Voyager's lack of Brew immunity, and I'm sorry you had to learn that the hard way!
 
Yeah Im kicking myself for it, well i do have my Nokia E71i guess ill use that until i can get the money to get a new one or find a way to get a 3rd party MP3 on there, i tryed to use this Brew APP recovery how too oh the mark site but it did not work, however there are may things that i might of done wrong but im not sure yet, i was thinking of reflashing the phone again and im going to do that right now, ive been told once it breaks thats it even if you flash it its gone forever. going to give it a try, i have nothing to lose at this point. maybe we should make a sticky on the site talking about LG phones that you should not touch the BREW at all.

P.S Ill flash the phone in the moring, im getting off work in 5min's but anyones input on this matter would be nice, i know some have said once you break it thats it but im sure there has to be some way of doing this. that or a 3rd party MP3 player that i could load by hand on this phone. other wise ill just kill the phone and send it back to LG and have them replace it lol XD
 
Yep thats what i read and thats what i was fallowing and it did not work, so i was thinking of flashing the phone and then trying to do that see if that would help out.
 
Ok i took the phone with me and i set up all the LG stuff so i could flash the phone here, i flashed the phone and BREW is still broken so i went to the Mark site cause i have his site bookmarked, Btw thank you for posting the link again Amo ^_^. and fallowed everything that the Mark Site said, and i am still a no go. Ideas?
 
Question this, do i have to change the address on the thing from the Cricket Brew back to the VZW brew in order to get it to work, cause right now it still has the Cricket Brew address....

Update P.S
I have Ordered another Voy and im going to try to do a Brew Tree Back up from a stock phone and see if that helps. unless someone has a Back up from there stock phone. x.x
 
nuuuuuuuuu there must be a way but now that i think about it, the repair thing on the mark site might be for a non messed up Voy so i guess that might make a big diff. but it dose not hurt to try i already ate one Voy, i guess i could alwasy copy all the info back and turn it on a VZW Prepay and then do a warrenty on it. lol or take it in to the store and be like my phone is broken lol >.> yes im evil. And your right Berry it might be a lost phone but im going to try, it dose not hurt to try. I know on a Motorola Phone when you do that you just go back and redownload the files again and your set but then again it has a Built in MP3 player and not a Brew based one. i dont know about the VZW moto's but i know for all the other ones its built in or Java Based.

And i hope that my phone comes in, and if it dose, i will post what happens.
 
x.x ugh my order never shipped out cause the LG VX9700 was not in stock and now i have to wait until friday, oh well i guess i can live one day with out it. So ill post my findings on Friday.
 
i'll sell you my voyager lol, anyways, did you back up your phone's tree with bitpim? If so just replace it with the one that you have to see if that helps, you could always reflash it again and hope it works?
 
No, i did not back it up and reflashing it did not work at all. only way i think that might work if a back up from a stock phone dose not work, then only doing a referb on the phone and taking it down to v5 then back to 7 would work but im missing the files i need to use the referb with out those files i will just brick the phone forever.
 
Ahhh so that is the key, i knew i was doing something wrong. -.- i just wish it would be easy way to put those as short cuts, and looks like i found my Media Player too, its all in there when i type in that code, thank again so much for this. >.> looks like thats going to be my new fav code to put into my brain. bleh
 
well i used that code and i have money in my Flex bucket and i did get Clicks turn on cause when i had my V9 i used it to buy some games, and i added 5.00 more and the money is there now, however when i try to buy something on the Phone (with the LG Voy) i get The User is not provisioned in the Database. Any ideas on this? do i need cricket to refresh my Clicks?
 
possibly neeRAB refreshed or double check your settings, also try the ##program10000 code and select get it now that may work just like my previous post
 
its the settings i just got the "user not provisioned in database" on a different lg model and i was because my settings had reverted back to verizons "apps.myvzw.com" all you should have to do is change it back to,

ip/url: Leap-prod-vip.qualcomm.com,Leap-test-vip.qualcomm.com

this a good guide on how to get my voyager to cricket i really want to buy one of these phones already flashed but i can't find one i can find one cheaper if its not flashed but i don't know anything about this im a newb hard someone help?
