VW vs. ACURA vs. MAZDA?

Im looking into getting a used car, right now i'm looking at early 2000's Volkswagen golf/GTI's, 2002-2004 Acura RSX's, and a 2006 Mazda3 s GT.

m looking to spend $10,000 which do you think i should look more into?

I reckon you should get the RSX, it's a really hot car and companies like Mugen, Spoon and Buddy Club have heaps of mods which can turn it into a real head turner.

If you want reliability, go for the golf, however it's not as cool as the RSX
 
The mazda 3 is rated really good, has tons of aftermarket parts and is fun to drive.

The RSX also has lots of parts, fun to drive and rated well but the mods tend to be expensive.
 
Standard as in they manual transmissions? If you're talking about both the GTI VR6 and the RSX Type S, I'd suggest the RSX Type S if you can find one for that much.
It's done well in tests against other econo-sports like the Celica and GTI.
 
I would recommend getting the Acura, just being that it is a higher end Honda. Only because Honda tends to last the longest out of any car. Never get a VW though, tranny will go out near 100k miles. The mazda have minor problems go wrong with it, but then again it really depends how well taken care of it was. Over all, out of the three cars you picked, I would go with Honda all the way.
