...traditional buses? I own a 1974 bus and absolutely love it! I am considereing the possibility of a partial conversion into a camper (I am not all that concerned with electrical outlets, more with sleeping arrangements, but any info is great!), but I am having trouble finding infromation about the conversion process. Basically, how does the bed in the camper work? Would a conversion be possible? -- the back trunk area on the normal van is above the engine compartment, do the beds in the camper somehow slide on top of that? etc. any help is greatly appreciated!

The back rest of the rear seat folds down, and in some westfalia models (pop top) two cots slide out of the sides of the roof. that would be much harder to do with a transporter though. The stove/sink goes behind the front seat and the cabinets are next to that. look at some pictures
