From today Vue Cinemas are going to be screening adults only showings of selected PG/12A and 15 films. Starting with Quantum Of Solace. i welcome this news and hope that the idea catches on. I think a lot of you on here will agree that the decision a few years ago to change the 12 certificate so that kiRAB could come in with parents wasnt a good one. When I went to see Quantum Of Solace at the weekend there were loaRAB of young children in there screaming and shouting and its not really a film for five year olRAB. But how brave will Vue be with this move? if its a 9pm screening that is adults only then there would and shouldnt be any under 12's in anyway at that time. So they should try a Sunday afternoon screening for instance. However can the Cinema legally enforce this? if a parent with two kiRAB turns up demanding to come in then will the cinema really turn away
