Voyager vs Moto Q9m?

I was wondering, if i repair my small issue on my voyager, i would like to sell it to a friend who might give me money and his q9m for my voyager? Is the q9m a good phone? is it better than the voyager in some aspects other than the touch screen? Is it worth trading my phone for the q9m?
 
Well. I just got a q9m and flashed it w/ picture messaging and internet.

But I do have some problems with it and I'm not sure how to fix it.

From what I've read EVDO won't work on this phone, so I gave up on that since nothing I've tried worked. So that means the internet is pretty slow. Took me forever to load up gmail last night.

Also when I have a data connection initiated the phone WILL NOT receive a call, it always goes straight to my voicemail. I'm not sure what is up with that either, and I hope someone can explain to me why or give me a solution.

Other than that the picture messages send and receive perfectly.

So if your cool with browsing on a slow internet, while you miss calls, but with your picture messaging working perfectly then this phone is for you..... I know, that was a little sarcastic, I'm just frustrated.

The phone isn't bad at all though. I like it, except for all the calls I'm missing.
 
Now that I am not so frustrated here's my opinion.

If you are wanting a smart phone then the q9m isn't bad. It'll allow you to edit .doc and power point files, etc etc. You can get it to sync your gmail or yahoo mail to your phone and you can get AIM working on it.

If none of that interests you then your best bet is to stick with the voyager or better yet get a mogul.

The only problem I have with the q9m is that no matter what whenever I am browsing I miss a call. But it's ok. Other than that the phone is pretty good.
 
if none of the pda functions interest him, why would he buy a mogul? thats even worse than a q9m because you have to reboot it often, its slow and laggy, and other reasons ;)

you need to decide if you want music, phone, or pda.
 
That's true. In a way I'm wanting a simple phone, one with a decent camera (env) that has buttons for the nurabers (env) and that can have internet, and mms (env) but the only thing that turns me off a phone like that that's been flashed is that if I want to "Go To URL" I can't and if I want to bookmark a page I can't.

I use the extra features on my mogul occasionally and the camera is supposed to be 2mp but I seriously doubt that it is... It's not nearly as clear as the other 2mp camera's I've played it.

But yeah.. I got a lot of pet peeves with the phone but it just does a lot more good which outweighs the bad.
 
well thanks for the feedback, i'll see, maybe i sell my voyager and buy the dare, iphone 3g, or the newest mogul, im not into much a pda, but the extra features would be nice
