Voice Signal on E61?

I'm currently using the 6682 and one feature I really enjoy and use all the time is the Voice Signal software. I've searched around and it doesn't seem that Voice Signal is on the E61 or can be installed.

How well does the voice dialing on the phone work and can it be activated from a headset?

Thanks!

Me too - I love that software. I almost NEVER go into my address book, despite feeling like a dork when. i'm. talking. like. this.

It makes it so hard to upgrade your hardware when so few of the apps for S60 will upgrade. I totally rely on yahoo!go, audibleair, smart profiles, & voice signal. I wonder if any of them will be updated? I hope so, because it's hard to resist the allure of the N73...

Which I went ahead and ordered and arrives today.

That's great news. I have a buddy with the E61 heading out for our wedding next week, I'll give it a try and if it works as well as the 6682 Voice Signal app I might have to get one of these.

E61 have a built in speech recognition software.
It depends on firmware version, for example my E61 originally come with English/Netherland language support, so I reflashed with English/Spanish version.
Because is very funny for a Spanish speaker say a spanish name in English

It also has a nice feature, the E61 tells you who is calling you (name and surname).

The downside (for me), you can not set the speech language, it is automatically selected when you choose your menu language (and I am Spanish speaker who prefer English menus )

It is a terrific phone, but I am waiting for a good PIM, Notes and Search capability software so I can left my Palm T3

I guess I'm confused. Does only the E61 and not the E62 have this capability? I played with a Cingular branded E62 at a Nokia kiosk yesterday and when I pressed the speech button it said "no voice tags recorded".

If there is an empty phonebook it can give you "no voice tags recorded".
You must have an entry in the phonebook and you must asign the defaults in eachs entries.
You will see a little "packman" in the entry that is selected as voice tag

Well I spent a lot of time playing with the E62 at Cingular and from what I can tell it does NOT have speaker independant voice dialing. Maybe I just didn't know how to "set it up", but no matter what I did I could not get it to dial contacts I added to the phonebook.

And, alas, as one that has an E62, I would have to say that you are wrong. It DOES have speaker independent voice dialing. I use it routinely through my BT headphone. When you load up names, it automatically does the voice tags, which are the names.

Now, you press the side button or the headphone, and it will trill and you speak the name. Not like a Motorola which asks "say a command" and "say a name". Get the tone and say a name, and the voice synthesizer will butcher the name back at you or "name not found".

i have both the 6682 and e61, and really do prefer using voice signal over e61's speaker independent voice dialing. with voice signal it will give me the option to choose which number to dial if my contact has several numbers and the e61 does not, and i find that voice signal is much more accurate, especially for the call and goto commands. i really want voice signal on my e61

Me too, but sadly it does not appear that it will be available. Cingular tried to push their $5 a month voice dialing feature down my throat when I told them I would like to see VoiceSignal at least as an option on more of their phones.

On E61 you can choose wich number is selected with voice dialing.
Open (not Edit, just open) the phonebook contact and select Options and then Defaults.
There you can select the number for voice dialing (you will see a little face on that entry), for video dialing, for MMS, for SMS, for mail, etc, etc...
You also can send menus options with voice commands.
It works perfect (better than Motorola Voice Tags).

Does anyone know if Vsuite works on 6620 as well ?

If we purchase the software through download, can we install it on more than one phone? (or they only provide a license per download)
