i have a blackberry 8820which is designed for vodafone connection however this phone belonged to someone else and now i have 'inherited' it and i have a post paid vodafone sim card and i have had this sim card for 1 year. the blackberry is 2 years old. The vodafone sim card worked perfectly in a nokia n78 but when i put it into the black berry the blackberry displays a sim card error and only sos and emergency calls can be made. the sim card slot does not have a locking mechanism........just a simple slot next to the battery slot. i have read other forums and vodafone support seems useless......i have tried all resetting and rebooting methods but it still displays the message.......please help!
