VM flashing to Cricket??

So I wanna flash a Virgin Mobile phone to Cricket (UTstarcom Slice)
It works on CDMA 1900 so I'm guessing it'll work
But it's a single mode and I'm afraid I'll lose service in alot of places

Help please?

Cricket Only works on the 1900mhz band anyway so that phone would work just fine

fyi the newer vigin mobile phones cannot be flashed afaik. the data connection has been removed from the firmware, you can't even hook them up to a cellebrite to transfer phone books

I havent ran into one yet i really want to lol i just dont want to spend the money to buy one...
I think you can jtag it like i do the kx5's

maybe... when you connect them it just kinda looks like the phone ignores the signal off the cable, because i get lights on the box, but no connection in the software.

So, I did this search and I need to get up to speed...is it confirmed you can NOT flash new Virgin Mobile phones to Cricket? Hope my search brought me to the right thread?

Correct most newer VM phones have the comport disabled. Unless you are advanced enough to try finding JTAG points and jtaging the phone then dont even bother buying these pos phones anyway
