Vizio VA22OE TV...How do I adjust the Bass and Treble?

It's really aggravating me when I go into the Audio Menu, it won't let me adjust the Bass or the Treble settings. There's these white circles with the red slash through them that prevent me from changing this.....Same goes for the video settings...Brightness, color etc.

Anyone know how I can change this....Is there a setting I need to change first?

It's really pissing me off!
