Viz Media shows to air on Funimation Channel; includes "Nana" and "Honey and Clover"

Well I would say this is good news, but for me at least, my cable provider doesn't carry the FUNimation channel. They could show edited One Piece and it wouldn't bother me.

Funny, though, that viz does all this stuff with Monster .... except release it on dvd,

Hmm, Hunter X Hunter and Buso Renkin for the shonen fans.

And......Monster. That's a surprise. I'm guessing this means we can forget about it on Adult Swim, though.

too bad optimum cable doesn't carry the funimation channel. oh well. but good to see the two leading anime companies teaming up.

Oh man, let this please lead to season boxsets. I would even front for singles at this point. Seriously, I would settle for extraless discs even.

PS: This settles it, I'm getting FIOS TV. You just lost the game, Comcast.

Well, as I also want those shows too, I hope this Funimation airing helps accelerate things.

Also, I'm glad Monster will be on TV in some fashion. My parents will love it - they dig serials and mysteries, and Monster is one of the best.

Wait, VIZ shows actually airing on FUNi's channel? Looks like they are desperately trying to find a TV outlet really badly, with CN's current attitude against anime lately. Hey, Dish Network, add the FUNimation Channel already!

So Monster's been wasted on a channel nobody gets.

Keroro and Michiko are now anime's official final hopes for mainstream TV success, at least until something truly awesome and marketable comes along in the near future.

Considering that they leave the F word in Beck, I doubt they would need to edit One Piece in any form.

Regardless, this is very interesting. It seems like Viz and Funimation realize they can do more together than apart.

I was actually expecting Naruto to be the on the list when I saw the thread title.

While this is interesting, I would find it more interesting if FUNimation Channel was offered in more homes, or at least if I got it. Oh well. Perhaps that will happen at some point.
