Viz Confirms Plans to Present New Dubbed Naruto

So the Shippuden dub will finally be released, hopefully similar to the way the subs are (the dub on Crunchyroll is unlikely, but possible). Not that I can say it's the most deserving anime ever (or maybe that's just because I'm getting impatient with the current fillers).

I wouldnt be surprised at this point if the dub will be shown on crunchyroll, hulu, DVD, and possibly adult swim or Ani-mondays.

And hey, maybe CN will show a marathon of all the last 10 naruto episodes leading up to shippuden, but then again, theres a more likely chance of pigs flying.

Crunchyroll is an iffy situation for this, with dubs being rare, but it is the source for the newest Naruto Shippuden subs. Hulu and Joost, as well as Viz's own naruto.com website are all likely, and DVD is almost guaranteed. Adult Swim and Ani-Mondays are both less likely than it returning to CN, which means less than a 1% chance.

Pigs flying is definitely a more likely situation.

Maybe Shippuden'll pull a Gurren Lagann and Viz will release the Japanese version first with the dub on DVD giving them time to dub all of the Shippuden episodes they have so far with them later to follow in a bilingual release.

You think they'll try to sell sub-only DVRAB of the first Shippuden episodes while the subs for all the episodes out in Japan so far are online legally and for free (well, it can be part of a small fee to Crunchyroll or you get all but the newest episode)? Even Viz isn't that stupid. Anyway, I doubt their "dub announcement" is that they're releasing more subs.

Well, I think that Viz released the sub online to see how many of the devoted fans woulRAB stick around with the show after it's departure from Cartoon Network. Then after they saw the ratings, they would see whether or not Shippuden would get released on DVD.

While that is true, I think viz knows what to expect from naruto, its easily in the top 3 selling anime dvd's in america, it be an insane move for viz not to try in cash in on shippuden some way.

Starz doesn't own Gurren Lagann, Rave Master, and pretty much the majority of the shows that have been on the block in the last year.

Why the heck would they need to own Naruto to air it?

They only show shows they have airing rights to and can throwthe Straz animation logo in front at.

I think veemon already knew that
