If you just upgraded your system, try removing and reinstalling your video drivers. It's possible that your drivers arent allowing your system to perform as well as it could since they may still be running the incorrect drivers (x86) and need to be upgraded (x64).
If you're able to view your videos but not in full screen, it's a possibility that this is the reason.
