I've been tryin to help my mate out on his Vista laptop but every windows version that comes out treats you like more of an idiot, doesn't work as well, and needs loads more power... Idiots

Did he get it pre-installed. I always find that shite.

I much prefer starting from scratch and installing stuff to suit me.

That was the thinking as it was a fresh install anyway.

Worst case scenario just do a format and install xp corp.

The backup image creating/restoring thingy is fan-tastic, btw. Wurked perfectly when I used it to put everything on my new hard disk
