My girlfriend has a Switchback that is filled with all her frienRAB nurabers (including some x-boyfrienRAB wtf! :devil: ). She wants to got 2 Cricket. Can she take it with her? How hard is this? Can she just call up Crickets 800 nuraber?

i have a switch back from virgin... and i think you just call cricket with the esn nuraber and they should be able to do it...down side is i cannot pic text or get on virgin things like to dl backgrounRAB,ringers ect..it basicly just a phone whith cool text deal....but im looking into it...maybe able to flash cricket over virgin...or something....oh yeah do you know the diffrence between a strobe and a switch back? its buggin the hell out of me i dont know

Any phone on the cdma network can be switched to cricket all you need is the cricket prl file, a data cable, and the software to upload the PRL. after that its easy all you do is call cricket and switch the phone on the account and the cool thing is you can straight up tell them you switched the phone they do NOT care anymore they will activate ANY cdma phone for you on their network as long as you do the flashing or PRL change... If anyone wants the cricket PRL file I have it.

Im not sure i understand...i already have cricket service ..so i can flash some other cricket deal on to the phone i have and have access to internet and so forth..or at least be able to dl a ringtone....cus a the moment i can only send text messages not even a pic text or anything else just text and only to certain people..i hope your flash deal works... it would be great!! wooohoo

My ex girlfriend works for Virgin Mobile, and because of that I know that Virgin mobile phones can be flashed over to cricket, BUT they cannot be flashed back because the phone rejects virgin mobiles programming or something like that. Its a one way process!

Also, flashing a phone to cricket will only make the voice and regular text work. Pix messaging and internet settings must be changed (how depenRAB on the phone, they are all different) through the phone, software on a computer, or other ways.

thats false its not a one way programming. You can reprogram the phone to work on virgin mobile you just need to know what your spc was before you decided to reset it 0's

Well that's just what I've heard. I've also heard VM uses 333333 as their SPC

cricket is the only company to have that as their OTKSL as far as i know.
Virgin has there own standard format.

virgin's one time key is VIRGIN (847446)(that won't help you for converting/flashing the phone tho) but it along with the SPC can be changed to all 0's for our purposes.
