Vincent Price...is he still missed?

I have always been a huge fan of Vincent. I have over 90 hours of radio shows he has done and many vinyl spoken word releases he had done and many many audio books. I don't think there has been anyone in the movie industry who really was a true gentleman like him. I keep meaning to try one of the many cookbooks him and his wife released to try them out. I often search 'Vincent Price interview' on Youtube just to see if there is anything new or just to remind myself of the star he really was. A life well lived and he only did movies to pay for the art he loved and to take care of his family. That is the way life should be isn't it. A true renaissance man.

I don't see how he'll ever be forgotten with all his films and the voiceover on Thriller.....

Theatre of Blood is probably my favourite Vincent Price film....

Mine too, along with the Dr. Phibes movies.

I've just got Tales Of Terror and The Raven as well.

I think Price was one of those actors who always gave it 100%, no matter how good or bad the material, like our own Peter Cushing.

Vincent Price's This Is Your Life, from the 1970' s is online - at a very well known video sharing site ;-)

(Sound is a little out of sync)

I like Price in many of his horror films especially the Roger Corman/Poe movies.

House of Usher and Pit & The Pendulum is a great double bill dvd and I'm surprised that the Amicus classic Scream and Scream Again is still not out in the UK despite it teaming up Price with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee on the same cast list -thats another great R1 dvd double bill with The Oblong Box

Some great interview footage on a disc called The Sinister Vincent Price and another double bill has Tomb of Ligeia with a rare tv special called An Evening with Edgar Allen Poe that Price made in 1970 and probably never shown here

He was such a good actor dominating all his scenes he could make a low budget look a classic.

Pit and The Pendulam and House of Usher are two which comes to mind. Also The Tingler which for some unknown reason has never been shown on TV but I recall seeing it years ago on one of the local flea-pits.
