Ok, I'm a little confused. So North Vietnam attacked South Vietnam to become a communist country? Why does one side require attacking the other just to become communist? I don't get it. Is there other reasons why they attacked South Vietnam?
Are Viet Cong & North Vietnam the same thing, just you can call it neither name, or are they two different groups on the same side?
Also, Vietnamese refugees. Why did they escape Vietnam? I have a Vietnamese uncle who told me that people escaped because people were forced to work with the Viet Cong. Why do they have to work with the Viet Cong, and what do they do for them, and also what happens if they refuse so, do they get murdered/go to prison?
What I do understand about the Vietnam War is it was all about communism. But why was a fight required. How did people survive around 20 years of war?
