My nearest video store shut down about 2 years ago, but even when it was open it was pretty crap in terms of selection. I'd have to drive about 20 minutes to get to the nearest Blockbuster these days.
I think video stores are about to become as extinct as the product in their name. I haven't rented from one for absolutely ages, i think the final death knell came when on demand services like Sky Box Office/PSN/Xbox Live started offering films on the same day as their DVD/Blu Ray release.
Yesterday i Sky+'d 'Date Night' and 'Prince of Persia' in HD, both were released yesterday, and should i choose not to watch them i don't have to pay for them, likewise there's no late fee, and i don't even have to leave the house to get it.
A Blu Ray rental from my nearest Blockbuster is over
