Video Question N73ME

whats up

New member
Sometime i put .MP4 videos on my N73 and they play (eg. Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift) and another time I try to put music videos and other movies and they do not play... the phone says not able to play trying to play partially... then only the audio plays. Anyone know why this happens and how i can fix this?
TIA

this usually happens when the video is converted into a container that is incompatible with the phone.

to get rid of these errors you should get SUPER converter from here
http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html
around 28megs, it's freeware.

and use these settings for the N73 phone:
format
output-container: mp4
output video codec: mpeg-4
output audio codec: aac
video
video scale size: 320:240
aspect: 1:1
frame/sec: 15
bitrate: 384
audio
sampling freq: 44100
channels: 2
bitrate: 128

try these settings once and let me know how it turns out. i tried many different combinations and this one was the one that gave the best result...

cheers.

This also can happen when you encode the video (or it IS encoded if you d/l it) with specs that are too high for your phone to play... i.e. if you encode a video at VGA resolution with an extremely high FPS, it may not play correctly (or at all).
