Video on Nokia E62

I have just tried what you suggested on My E61 and this is what I get. When I convert videos to 3GP, the video is somewhat choppy. When I convert it to MP4, the sound will play but the video won't...

Works for me, pretty much the same as it worked on the E61. The branding has nothing to do with it. People trying to use out of spec video encoding is the main problem. The phone will play some out of spec video well, but not all, by any means.

They're surprising the hell outta me..I expected a winning season, but not to the level we've seen so far!

I live in Springdale, but spend far too much time in Tulsa.

BTW, I can't speak for the Rogers branding, but the Cingular branding is one of the least intrusive I've seen them do on an S60 in a long time. If it wasn't I'd have already sold it for an E61.

Okay ... I got my mini sd card and was finally able to try out what the Rogers Tech told me and it does work.

I open the PC Suite program 'View Multimedia' and select my video. Then click save as and select 3gp and the 'no limit 176x..." and then browse to the mini sd card in my Nokia. And the whole video will play with sound.

The key is that it has to be on the SD card, you have to select 3gp and while the resolution of 'no limit 176x ...' is not absolutely required, it has given me the best results.

Just a note. When I tried to save in MP4 it didn't work. I got a splash screen and the sound only. I really didn't play around with the MP4 setting much. So if anyone has the right settings to make it work in MP4 please post.

The video, is not great quality, but that could be because the source was not that good to start with. If I have a chance to play with it some more, I will post my findings hear.

tech support spoke: your PC may have endless different numbers of CodX formats and if it doesn't, it will get the right ones. E62 doesn't, do unless you install all of them, only certain type of vids will play, very few at that. Bottom line, no mini SD card, no video. Is there any software that resizes the vids to fit on mini SD?

I actually called the tech support, Cingular, Nokia level 2 then 3, and Symbian, all being transfered from one to the other regarding the JavaScript. Two hours later, no solution...but I did get 100 bucks off my bill which compensated the 2 hours I spent on the phone. Any Java solutions?
