Got started yesterday, used "da tool" and it worked perfectly. Just waiting on Progressive to get new springs to me...this was an easy job (so far).

I recently installed a painted inner fairing and made the ignition key tool to your specs. It worked perfectly. Cost of making the tool was $1. I did take it one step further and solider the copper tube where it is folded over. Thanks again!

I've had my ignition switch out and back in 3 times on my 06 egc with no problems. Tonight took it out to hook up the oil cooler fans to a switch next to the spot light switch and I goofed something up and could not get it back together. I took a break and watched your video and it all fell back in place. Thanks CLL375 you rock...

I made the tool before watching the other pages on the tool fabrication. My tool went in but didn't turn the pawls, or turned one but not the other. I got nervous everytime it didn't work and finally just put it together and went on a ride. I'm back and will go back and fold it over and try it again.

So I remade the tool but it still doesn't work on my 09 Ultra. I hear/feel the click of one of the tumblers, but the lock is still locked. The measurements are the same as the one posted above. Not sure what my problem is, but it is not working for me.

Why did you take your fairing apart? When I did my chrome lower legs and fork oil change last month, I did not have to remove the outer fairing. It was a little bit tougher, but the time & hassle of taking it off was worth it. Nice pics. Post after you get them back on.
