Video Games turned into Anime/Manga

Even though this is going opposite of what this thread is, I REALLY LIKE the Initial D arcade games/console stuff. Im not the only one who would blow half his paycheck to complete the game and challenge other people, thats what the real feel of arcade is like, and i dearly miss that.

Ive laughed when i saw those Zelda manga at Borders, also theres Starcraft and Warcraft manga as well. Even if the story is good, i have no personal desire to pick them up.

What, like Duke Nukem? Or Doom?...

Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer is another anime based off a video game. Though except for the fanservice and OAV-quality animation, it's not worth watching, because the story is terrible.

Interestingly, Masami Obari did the character designs for the game FIRST, then used his own designs for the OAV he directed.

I just want to add a little more of what I'm saying about Sonic X.
It could have became a decent show, the animation is ok, the story works. But, once Sonic jump to the real world, everything didn't felt right.

The additional characters were pointless, didn't have no use for the story, adding story that wasn't base off the original game and...Chris! God, at first I thought Cream the Rabbit was annoying, but Chris prove me wrong.

The only decent Sonic anime I could think of are the Sonic OVA. Yea, they added some characters in, but they weren't pointless. The animation was top of it's game, the story/plot works easily, it was funning, the Music fits for the OVA and the dub were good (IMO).

Closest true Sonic anime I ever seen.

I gotta say, i want Obari to release some sort of boxset with all his work.

I really dont know how much that will sell (id get it for Fatal Fury) but hey, he neeRAB money too...
