Video Game Return Policy at Target? Not sure if this counts as defective?

I bought a game from target recently and was satisfied with it, but the online play does not seem to work. The online play works for other games I have, and just this one doesn't seem to work.

The game is opened, but I wouldn't have known that the online didn't work without doing so. If I have the receipt, is it ok to return? Store credit is ok and I have had it for only a day or two.
