Ok heres a hard one to ask, in japanese video games and some anime, the a character defeats a boss the frame stops, they are in a cool pose and kanji(?) shows up. (example: Ninja Blade.) what does that signify? i know that the kanji changes from game to game and stuff, but i want to know why its like that. sry for how bad the explanation is.

I know what you mean, it does have a meaning but it is always very vague but basically means like "Mission Successful" or "That's Great" that kind of thing. They don't translate it because it looks cooler sometimes than Roman script.

If you learn to read kanji (not too difficult) you can make it out most of the time what is being said.
