I'm trying to decide between these two video cameras. Mostly to be used for wedding videos. It seems the Panasonic has slightly more manual options. The Sony is SMOS and the Panasonic is MOS. I read MOS is actually better. I'm not so much a technical person though.
I have two Sony HD1000U cameras but the heads are both gone and I'm not sure getting them fixed is a good option. I have had no issues other than that with the cameras. They have held up to a pretty high standard. So I've swayed towards the Sony HXR-MC2000U. The Panasonic AG-AC7 is $600 less though which at the moment is swaying my mind as my budget is minimum right now.
I'm not sure which is the better camera according to specs and reading the Panasonic manual. Can anyone help me on this purchase?
