I would bet that the dr. will want to check your sugar as well as your blood pressure. Too low or too high blood sugar can cause some of this too.

Deffinately call for an appointment.

:dizzy:
WHY?? Because of your symptoms or fear of needles??

Regardless - man-up and get some blood work done. It's either seek medical help or keep having these symptoms with no answers and just HOPE that nothing is really wrong.

Seriously - just tell the lab tech that you are afraid you will pass out, they will lay you down to draw the blood and take good care of you. I used to have a horrible fear of needles...childbirth gets you over that...but I don't look for that to help you. ;)

You would not be the first person to pass out from a blood draw and won't be the last if you do. It helps the tech's if you warn them that you are worried about it.

No I'm not afraid of needles I am afraid that I'd it is my blood sugar or blood pressure and I get a lot of blood drawn it will drastically drop it and cause me to pass out.

I know it sounRAB strange but i think this is stress and anxiety. I am constantly worrying and stressed out and I know that puts a lot of stress on my heart causing poor circulation. But either way I'm gonna see a doctor tomorrow and have a few tests done and if they all come back normal then it is stress. A couple years ago I was having similar symptoms. No energy. Heart felt like it was fluttering. Couldn't breathe. Couldn't eat. Panic. Went to the doctor to get it checked out and doctor said my heart sounded abnormal and my EKG came back abnormal as well. I then went to a heart specialist and he gave me an overnight heart monitor, and ran other tests at his office. He said everything looked normal, so at that point i stopped worrying about it, which took a lot of the stress away. It's a vicious circle. You feel the symptoms of anxiety and think it is something serious and that makes them worse. It's awful.

Hello I am a 19 year old male. I constantly have headaches. All day, every day. My head feels like a balloon and the backs of my eyes have severe pressure. For close to a month now I have been experiencing some strange symptoms after eating. Mainly only after breakfast. My usual day is a wake up around 12 and then eat something. After the first bite I begin feeling very groggy. Brain fog. Can't concentrate. I feel very depressed. At it's worst I get dizzy and lightheaded. Vertigo. My feet get cold and clammy. My family has suggested that my blood pressure is dropping due to the blood rushing to digest the food, but it doesn't make sense. I'm just taking one bite and I feel like I'm going to faint! To me low blood pressure makes perfect sense. The symptoms fit it perfect. The severe confusion and dizziness. I'm calling the doctor Monday. Does anyone have any idea what this is. Also, it doesn't happen every morning. Only sometimes. And after I eat breakfast and the symptoms go away I can eat whatever I want for the rest of the day without any symptoms at all.

I see. Well, I can give you one less thing to worry about. They will NOT take so much blood as to cause you a problem. You are giving them a pint as in donating blood, it will be a few test tubes. Nothing to worry about.

I am glad you are getting in to see the dr. Hope things go well.

There's a name for low-BP-after-eating, postprandial hypotension. Problem tho - as far as I know, it only happens in us old folks.:p

Orthostatic hypotension (low BP when standing) often occurs in the morning before breakfast, and in young people, maybe the first bite thing is just a coincidence?

Another possibility is sleep apnea, especially with the morning onset headaches. Anyone ever told you you snore?

I can't really remeraber if anyone has ever told me that or not. I was actually thinking that it could be sleep apnea earlier today because I really think that I have it. I have woke up several times before gasping for air in the middle of the night, and I know I had stopped breathing because i woke up and wasn't breathing. I don't really think this is anything serious it just gets rather annoying because I dread eating in the morning because I don't want to feel confused and disoriented feeling. I get slightly dizzy but I think that is because when I feel like this my neck tenses up and I freak out. Panic! It just doesn't make sense. I've never done this in the past before. I read somewhere online that when you quit smoking it can cause your blood pressure to drop and i believe when i eat it drops it even more. But that also doesn't make sense because i quit smoking about a month ago and i dont think that symptoms should last that long. Hmm.....

Also I wanna note that I have sever anxiety. I have had it for as long as I can remeraber. I have always worried about everything and with college starting and me moving out i am more stressed then i have ever been. Especially with quitting smoking. That multiplies it by 1000! I would just like to know what is wrong with me when i sometimes eat! D:

Yea it's very strange. Like I will have stages where I am super happy and don't have these symptoms. And if i do i don't notice them. And i don't really think it is something with my blood because i used to eat one meal a day to lose weight and lost arou d fifty pounRAB doing it and didn't have any complications. The warrior diet i think it is called. It is just lack of exercise, not eating healthy and anxiety is my problem. And the symptoms began around the time i quit smoking, so it makes perfect sense. Stress is hell. Especially when it's a disorder. I will probably be put on antidepressants to help my body rid of the anxiety.

We have also considered anemia. Does this sound like anemia to you guys. Because i am very very pale.

Oh and one more thing. I feel very at unease if I don't eat ever couple hours. I get a bad gnawing in my stomach and get very hungry and my head feels like I haven't eaten in a week.

Anemia is possible, but that hits women more than men. They will be able to tell that from the blood work also. Let us know how it goes today.
