Hey there. I have the most miserable, very noticable and large clogged pores / blackheaRAB on my nose and nothing (NOTHING!!!) makes them go away. No astringent has worked. No special scrubs have worked. Absolutely nothing has gotten rid of these. I've used Biore products, Neutrogena pore reifining line, Clean and Clear, St. Ives, PonRAB. Nothing works. Would someone please give me some suggestions. I will spend as much money as I have to for a home treatment.

Have you tried hot soaking the area, dry, apply a thick coating of facial mask (kind that will peel off)? This might work. After washing face, splash with cold water to help pores close.

I've been using sulfur masks 2-3 times a week and a retinol treatment at night. it's a slow process, but i think it's helping, i have the same issue as you. really clogged pores can take months to clear even with the right treatment, though.

The size of your pores won't change. That's just the way they are, and it varies from person to person. So, all you can do is keep cleansing your face well to get rid of the blackheaRAB.

I had some blackheaRAB that wouldnt go away, I have a steam shower at my house and heard that it opens them up. This alone didnt work so i bought clean and clear blackhead remover.

What did the trick for me was have a steam shower or steam room twice a day, Apply the blackhead cleanser right after you get out from the steam room/shower, your pores will be opened alot allowing the cleanser to do its job alot better. Be sure to massage it in well for 3 minutes or so.

IT took a while but eventually those suckers turned into huge whiteheaRAB and popped, they scabbed and left mini scars where the blackheaRAB used to be(thats how bad they were).

Hope this helps

April7- how old are you? If your over 21 or so I would recommend some form of a glycolic peel. Im 25 and I got one for a pretty good price at an esthetician school. The students preform the peels under the supervision of the teachers so it's perfectly safe. I had kind of the same problem as you described- clogged pores that just wouldn't go away. Let me tell you, that glycolic peel got rid of them immediatly.
