very basic , setting up perl cookie?

i want to set up a perl/cgi cookie and access it, can some one help me with the code. please, i am kind of new to perl.

i am passing values, like first name and surname from an HTML page to the perl file. then i do not know how to set cookies and access it, i googled it but couldn't find a solution yet ..

plzzz help me .. :(
