Let's say you are given "f(x) = x^2/5" as your function. f'(x) = 2/5x^3/5... Determine if there is a vertical tangent line at the P(0,0).. The solutions manual to my text book simply says that the limit of the derivative as x approaches 0 is equal to infinity. I know this is so due to a definition in calculus, but how is it that you determine that the limit of 2/5x^3/5 as x approaches 0 is = to infinity? Please & thank you!
