I have a VZW Blackberry 8830 World Edition phone issued by work, and I'm thinking of getting a Moto Z6 for personal use during my upcoming NE2 renewal.
VZW offers international SIM packs (perhaps Vodaphone-issued?), but the calls cost between $1.29 and $2.99 per minute!
I travel internationally for pleasure and am wondering whether Verizon phones are locked in such a way as to prevent my using prepaid SIM cards so often used overseas.
Obviously, I could get an unlocked quad-band GSM phone, but then people back home would not be able to contact me while I was traveling by simply dialing my 'normal' cellular number.
Does anyone have the definitive answer on the use of non-VZW SIM cards?
Thanks in advance,
George
