Verizon wirless upgrade!?! HELP!?

i am eligable for my upgrade at verizon wireless but it still will cost me 180 bucks for the phone i want, so is it possible to just buy an unlocked phone from ebay and take it to verizon and have them put my stuff on it? Will this cost anything if its possible?
 
Verizon isnt going to unlock a phone from another carrier for you. You can buy a verizon phone FROM ebay if you want, but thats going to be far more expensive than any upgrade offer through VZW.

While 180 sounds like a lot, people dont realize just how $$$ a full-retail phone is. Most PDAs for example are over 500 bucks. Which.....is the pricing you will see on craigs list and ebay since they are selling without the benefit of a two year contract.

So......price check.
 
You don't need an unlocked phone- any Verizon phone will do.. However, if the phone you want is $180 at Verizon with an upgrade, expect to pay at least $350 for it on eBay...
