I have a regular phone on a family plan with no data plan and want to upgrade to a Droid smartphone. I am not eligible for an upgrade for quite some time but somebody told me that if I am adding a data plan I can upgrade at any time. If i were to upgrade i would get the new $15 data plan. Can anyone confirm if i can upgrade or if I have to wait?
