Verizon Wireless Phone Upgrade?

My question is my phone is not eligible for upgrade until May 2010, so I was wondering if it's all right too use my mom's upgrade since I now she'll never use it and for the fact that her phone has been eligible for an upgrade for a year now, and the fact that she is perfectly content with her phone. So could I use her upgrade and she still keep her current phone.
 
You can take her upgrade. Just buy the phone & have it put on your number. if you go to the verizon store to upgrade it'll be easier to do.Just say you want to take your moms upgrade,
