From what I understand, the only way out of a contract aside from their prepaid service is to buy the hone outright, but you going to be paying at least an additional $150.00 for the phone itself. I know this cause I was looking into just buying a phone after my contract was up and not renew the contract, but I discovered that the price of the phones by more then $150.

Well, a couple of months ago my mom cleaned out the basement. In the basement was a booklet that my father had put all the account numbers and things, but now it seems to be misplaced.

I lost my phone, and I want to resume my old account and not make a new two year plan. Can I just call Verizon and ask them to give me my account number and such? Or is it more complicated?

Thanks in advance.
