okay, so i currently have a lg venus but it's broken like four times and we've had to get it replaced each time. yesterday, when i went i asked if i could just get another phone (preferably the enV3, ha) and just pay the difference. but of course, verizon is verizon and once you start with their two year contract there's no turning back. so! what would you suggest i do? and how much would it cost? like if i canceled my current plan and started a new one with that phone? or if that's even possible? thank you!
thank you all for the help, but i forgot to mention that i did get the phone replaced just so i'd have something to use but that was after they told me no about getting the env3 and paying the difference. also, in 3 days i'm up for an upgrade? don't ask me what that means because i've only had this phone since october? so what does that upgrade mean? and again, thank you all for your answers (:

get another phone and another plan from a different phone company and don't TELL verizon!!! It's that simple. May I suggest T-Mobile!?! You can get a samsung gravity along with an affordable plan!

I would double check on paying the difference. If you aren't eligble for an upgrade, you will be charged the full-retail price. There is no turning back with any provider's 2-year contract, which is why PAYG phones are huge right now.

If you canceled your VZW plan, there is a charge of 175.00. Then, you would have to get a new phone, Env3 is 80 bucks, plus the activation fee.

I would go to a store, ask them the bottom line cost and make your decision there. I have an Env2 and love it.

GL!

If you cancelled your contract and then wanted to restart it, it would take at least a month. You aren't allowed to cancel then restart later in the day. Your account info. gets put on a sort of "blacklist" that will show up as not being able to get a new contract. You can always upgrade to the EnV3 you will probably have to pay upwards of $200

call customer service *611 and expl;ain. and then go to the supervisor. used to work there.
the CEO does not want any customer to be inconvenienced.
actually 2 is his limit on the issues.
so call and state your case and believe me you will have a new phone in 2 days time.
