I've had the booster since day 1. After difficulty implementing the preferred users...which is done now...it has worked flawlessly. As previously mentioned, does nada for EVDO usage.

Also, I have FioS internet, FioS T.V., 2 verizon phones and 6 cell phones. It's way more than enough but I believe the criteria is $250 billed per month. It might be $250 a month for XXX consecutive months but this designates you as a V.I.P. If you fit ths criteria, something I haven't seen mentioned, you get $75 off the booster thus costing $175.

Any word of the Verizon booster working with Sprint and/or AT&T? I have friends and family that use those carriers as well as others using Verizon; so this booster would be great if it could also help them out in my home.

Thanks Nick. I keep thinking this is a Repeater, but since it is a Booster it wouldn't work with GSM; unless designed that way.

Actually, there's a funny system behind this.

If people only knew how technologies like 1X and 3G work, like I do...

In reality, it slightly improves 3G coverage. It makes it easier to gain it and helps the speeds. 3G is completely reliant on 1X...if 1X is improved, by default 3G will be improved.

On my network extender, I noticed that now I get full 1X bars...I get 3 (of 4) EV (3G) bars! That use to be unheard of.

In the Extender, there is no technology for 3G, however, they will be designing an adapter for it so it does fully support 3G...but because 1X is improved, 3G coverage becomes easier to gain and hold onto. My Broadband Access Connect is faster than ever!

hi...i am thinking of getting this since i have no reception at the new place. however, i have a concern about the whole text messaging issue. are you able to send and recieve normal texts? i hope to hear from you soon. so i can decide whether this is worth to get or not sinc all i depend on is text messaging more than voice usage. thanks.

Just about all of the services that the National Access Coverage (1X Digital) provides.

This includes calls, sending/receiving text messages (picture and video too), and internet (at slower speeds).

It works perfectly.
