My mom's Palm Pre broke and, since they no longer make that phone, she was sent an upgraded device... Well the phone she was sent was the one that I wanted to get when we switched in October. I used to have an iPhone 4 but had to sell it after we switched (wasn't a sure thing at that point) and since I wasn't working at the time (seasonal job that I had when I purchased my iPhone) I had to settle for a free device. I didn't want to have my mom pay a lot of money for it... anyway, she had to pay 89 dollars for a replacement device upgrade and I offered to let her have my phone (that she said she liked) in trade for me paying her 95-100 dollars for the replacement she was sent. I was mainly wondering if it was possible for me to use that phone or if it would be considered fraud since the phone was used for a replacement on her line and Verizon isn't a GSM carrier so phones need to be activated to a certain line.
