Verizon User looking for PDA/phone.

So I am looking at getting a pda/phone but am so confused reading all the posts and talking to the Verizon people.

What i am looking for is the ability to track my schedule easily, get on the free(as in i dont want to pay verizon to surf free wifi) wifi locations at restaurants and businesses, access excel spread sheets, and edit word documents all while being able to talk on the phone and text message. I am looking at starting my own electrical company in the near future and am looking at trying to be able to be as efficient as possible. I have been looking at the Treo 700 but cant really see the difference between the p and the wx and also the xv6700. My plan is to get a cheaper used phone somewhere and see how it works then get a new one when my callingplan expires next year if i like what i see. I am hoping this will prevent me from having to carry a laptop around with me everywhere i go. I have been lurking for about a year on these forums and hacked my 8300 for the free wep and have so many ringtones thanks to bitpim but these pda/phones just confuse me.

Any suggestions would be very helpful. I have used the search function and have read so much now i am so confused i think my head will explode.

Thanks
Kevin

I love my Samsung i730, but I don't think you will be able to find one. They were discontinued a few weeks ago. The 6700 is very similar to it, but it adds a camera. The Treos don't have WiFi, so if you want to use WiFi, don't get a Treo. The difference between the 700p and 700wx is the 700p runs Palm OS and the 700wx runs Windows Mobile.

Thanks for the reply.

As for wifi i thought i read somewhere that you could get a wifi card for the 700 and get free wifi but like i said in my first post i am so confused from reading so much. Got a brain overload going on.

Also i have read that you cant pix msg unless you buy verizons data plan witch i wont be doing so does this mean pix msgs are out? cause in another post they said they changed that.

I guess i am just gonna keep reading and try to get some of this stuff figured out.

I remember when I had a Treo 650, WiFi cards didn't work with it. I think the Palm WiFi cards ($130) work with the 700 series though.

They did change the picture message thing so it comes out of your msg plan.
