Verizon Texting/picture messaging question?

I have the unlimited text messaging plan (I just got a new phone/ texting for the first time. Sad, I know x) And it was the $10 one, for unlimited to verizon, and then 500 outside verizon.
I also have a data plan, for $25 (because i have the blackberry storm)

So my question is, can I send PICTURE messages WITHOUT getting charged?
I read somewhere that my data plan covered it, is this correct?
