Verizon/sprint better data/IM plans?

These guys make their data/IM plans a little difficult to interperet. What would you guys recommend, I want unlimited data (for web browsing/gmail) on a pda/smart phone and I'd like unlimited IM. I don't think I'd NEED unlimited IM, but I'd really like it.

I really like the motorola Q, but I'm not totally opposed to the black berry's! Are there any sites that compare the data plans for these providers side by side?

Out of curiosity, how is T-Mobile coverage in your area? If they work well where you are, that?s who I?d go with for data service. Check their coverage lookup by address. If you?re in a less populated area, I would go with Verizon. They are more expensive, but Sprint is just so hard to get any info out of. Maybe people who have done more research know something I don?t, but judging by their voice plans (I couldn?t find data rates on their site anywhere) you just don?t get as much for your money as other providers.

Thanks for the input. I have considered Tmo and I think I'll look closer. I'm a little concerned because many people in my area have mentioned Tmobile's phone service is 'only OK'.

Based on user reviews (at work and through friends) I think Tmobile might not quite compare to verizon/sprint. I'll try calling the verizon/sprint reps and just asking... I was hoping there would be a site that compares these nicely side by side. I've noticed in the sticky here in the Verizon forum that they mention unlimited internet is 44.99! OUCH! I think sprints unlimited internet (vision) is ~15-25, much more reasonable... Anyway, looks like I'll just have to call and find out. Thanks again!

I would go with Sprint unlimited data is as low as $15 a month, and there rate plans are the best for the price in my opinion.

Sprint looks great in terms of data, 15 is very reasonable! They have a nice black berry...although i much prefer the full qwerty style ones like the 8700...can't win. I think the Q is the nicest looking of them all. Does anyone know what it costs for unlimited internet /IM with verizon?

Sprint has the least restrictions on what you can do with the connection as well. Last time I checked, it was against Verizon's TOS to stream anything, play games, use a VoIP phone, or download large files using their service, where Sprint allows all of those (though unless you're in a major city with a good connection gaming and VoIP are futile).

Thanks again for the input. Based on my homework it looks like I'm gonna go with Sprint. It's too bad verizons data plans are so absurd, or this choice would have been easier (i really like the Q!) But Sprints blackberry 7130 makes a lot of sense, and their PPC thing looks cool too...

Anyway, thanks to all for your input. $15/month unlimited data with sprint is the way to go!
