Verizon shares your private data....Opt out

Verizon will be mailing out letters of the information sharing plan regarding private data shared unless you decided to opt out, which seems like a wise thing to do, considering the data shared will be: billing information, technical info, location information and service purchases. Don't rely on opting out online... the CPNIN option is currently "Not Available."

It is actually very easy and reliable to do it online...

You login to MyVerizon. Then click "GO" near your phone's picture. This will take you the menu where you do everything with your account, like adding/removing features, etc.

Now, near the top of the page (but below the area that says Phones and Accessories and so on...click on the My Profile tab. Scroll down to the heading that says Phone Controls...then go from there!

I opted out, easy enough. Followed the above post and completed in less than 2 mins.
