Sebassssssss

New member
ive been a verizon customer for over 10 years.
I recently saw that they changed the new every to from 50/100 to 30/50
when it first came out it was 100 per phone.
i am seriously thinking of switching to at&t, but i foolishly did a 3 year contract instead of 2 year, yeah bad me.
i was thinking of upgrading to a smart phone iwth data plan anyway soon
apples to apples att would be @ 35/month cheaper then verizon

anyway. does anyone know how to get out of a contract?
think im being petty?

Verizon doesn't offer 3 year term commitments, so I'd check your contract end date...

Verizon Wireless will terminate service without penalty if:

  • You die
  • Drafted into the military where wireless coverage isn't available (proof required)
  • Wireless service is no longer offered at your residence or you have always suffered from marginal coverage (they will send a tech out to verify this first).
As far as data plan pricing, AT&T offers identical data plan pricing [for the iPhone] as Verizon Wireless does. There isn't a big difference. Amount of minutes you get for the buck is also the same. If you're trying to save money, think about Sprint or T-Mobile.

the 3 year deal was a promition, it added 100minutes to the contract.
at&t data for the iphone is 30
the verizon plan o looked at was 45
both are on family plans with 700 min, all the wice and i need

Verizon data plans are $29.99. They offer a more extensive data plan for higher pricing, just like AT&T does.

The basic data plan of $29.99 includes unlimited internet/email.

When did they offer a 3 year promotion? I worked for them up until November of last year.

Also, Verizon Wireless doesn't offer the iPhone.

i know they dont offer the iphone, thats one reason i was thinking of switching, im not sure how the verizon touch screens stack up yet, im still looking into that

the 3 year was a promo that verizon called me about 2 weeks after i got the last new phone, by adding a year to the contract i got 100 min extra a month free. at that time i didnt think iwas goign to switch, but hearing what they did with the new every 2, ive been thinking more and more about it

The iPhone is an impressive device. It does a lot that most phones cannot.

If you were considering a Verizon Wireless touch screen, the Voyager (not a smartphone) and the Blackberry Storm should be your best bet. I've always had wonderful luck with LG devices (plus it has a QWERTY keyboard and has won all major battles against the iPhone. I'm not sure how people can compare the two...but still. The Storm is the touch screen fans favorite. People love this touch and click technology which makes the phone even better. It has better music abilities that the iPhone, but as far as memory like the iPhone...I'm not sure. I know it has a large internal memory, but not sure how large.

Here's the Voyager vs. iPhone battle:

Also, Verizon Wireless has a better customer service department and better coverage. Pricing on some of the dumbest things are expensive. I am switching (or possibly)...it would happen sometime today...I'm scared...but oh well. Even after I switch, I will always argue that the Verizon Wireless network is the best.
