Verizon Push to Talk

I have the G'z One Boulder PTT phone through Verizon Wireless, I have changed the default chirp to a Star Trak sound and it works great. There are only a few problem I have found. One is some times the PTT does not work even with a full signal on both my phone and the phone I am trying to contact, but it works more then it does not. Perhaps Verizon is working on this as the system is fairly new to the network. The other issue is my phone sometime does not hold the memory on the features I set such as shortcuts and the phone reboots itself sometimes. I am hoping it is just a bad unit because my Son has the same phone and does not have these problems. If it continues I will replace it under warrenty. For the most part I worked for NEXTEL for 3 years and Verizon clearly is a better choice. I love the features of the G'z One Boulder over the Motorola V-750 that you can not change the PTT tone on. The G'z One Boluder has more features and is a very tough phone witha great look.

I would recomend this G'z One Boulder to anyone looking for a good PTT phone :D

I got my G'zOne Boulder yesterday, and activated PTT with it, though I haven't been able to test it out yet. I got the Black & Silver, and changed the ring on the front to silver also. I really like the look & feel of this phone. Hope it stands up to the test.

(And yes, I did have a Krave that I got back at the first of the week. It went back DOA yesterday. That thing was a piece.)

I just completed replacing our old Nextels with VZW Cell/PTT - about 47 units. To say it was easy would be a lie. However, it appears the effort will be worth it. We did have some problems with our account setup, but were eventually resolved. From the beginning, cell calls were improved 100%. The PTT covrage is good, but will hopefully improve.

For the business user, V has a website for administration of the phones. You do a lot of clicking for inital setup of names and call groups. V really needs to talk to end users for suggestions. As other V products, it does work, but they need to talk to their user base for suggestions on improving.

The volume s/w patch seems to be doing just fine. We did testing a little over 2 months ago. Volume was an issue. These have the fix - all is well.

I tell our staff that it is an evolving device - good and usable now, but should get better with age.

BTW, we went with GZone in Copper. They are ruggedized, and water resistant. NOT waterproof due to the PTT switch on the side.

I believe PTT only works in their broadband service area which may be why you can make phone calls but not use your PTT. If you go to their website and check their coverage map you should be able to look that up and see if it just where you live.

Yes, got one last week. Clarity is way better than our Nextels. These got a bad rap when they first came out but now they are great. Get one!!!
Got ours FREE.
