Verizon phones on Cricket - text messaging?

Hello,

I have a Verizon LG VX-5200 that I've activated on Cricket. Everything works fine except for text messages, which all show up as coming from 000-000-0000. Is there anything I can do to get text messaging to work?

I activated the phone with cricket (gave them the ESN) and dialed *22804 for cricket's OTASP, which set the NAM, PRL, etc. Calls to and from the phone work fine.
 
I realize that. But the phonne isn't a cricket phone, it has Verizon Software and PRL. to get it t call out to cricket, you have to load it with cricket prl.... is that what you did?
 
yes it does. unless it failed for some reason, but verizon phone should work fine. if it's making calls on cricket it has the right prl.
