My NE2 kicks in in about a month. I've been thinking about the SCH-a990 - the thing is, while I want a camera phone, I don't particularly need the WORLD's BEST camera phone. I just want an all around good phone -- good reception, clamshell, photo caller ID without opening the phone, speaker, bluetooth, decent battery life, etc. I'd like a tri-band phone, because I'm paranoid about being stuck in the middle of nowhere with a broken tire, but those seem to be on the way out. I've been happy with my current phone (well, at least until a hinge broke, thus making the light come on with every jostle, thus killing the battery), which has all of the above, except for bluetooth.
In my heart of hearts, I'd like one of the new Treo's so that I can surf the web to my heart's content everywhere I am, but I know that I'm not willing to pay $60/month for unlimited data, so that's out of the picture.
So, bottom line, is there another Verizon alternative that meets my needs, or should I just go for the A990?
